About Geometric Operations
The geometric operations allow you to obtain geometric information about geometric shapes and perform geometric calculations on them without having to manipulate shape geometries directly. The geometric operations fall into five main categories:
The next five sections discuss these categories.
- operations that affect contours and contour direction
- operations that simplify the drawing of shapes
- operations that determine and alter basic geometric information about shapes
- operations that test for intersection and inclusion
- operations that perform geometric arithmetic on shapes
